The whole world is facing a terrible problem today, people are under house arrest today, because of a tiny microorganism. The whole country is stagnant today, the roads are deserted, businesses are closed, unemployed people; Lockdown is going on all over the country. In the meantime, today is a special day, which is celebrated every year only as a workers' day.

They work hard all year round. One day off from that work. At this time, of course, every day is a day for them to be unemployed, sitting at home. Today is World Labor Day or May Day.

May Day is actually a pledge of freedom from exploitation. May Day is the day to take an oath to build socialism by ignoring the bloody eyes of the rich. The American Federation of Labor was founded in November 1881. A historic decision was taken at the Fourth Conference there on October 6, 1884, stating that from May 1, 1886, all working people would not work for more than eight hours in any way. On that day, therefore, five lakh workers directly joined the strike. The ruling party-backed down in fear at this huge united workers' rally and strike.

On May 3, a brutal police raid on the McCormick Harvester factory killed six innocent workers. That event will forever be remembered in the pages of history. The next day, on May 4, a huge protest rally was held in Market Square. When the police opened fire at the meeting, the flags of the martyrs were stained with blood. Four labor leaders were arrested. The farce began in the name of justice, the death sentence was issued.

Today the struggle of the workers is the most difficult in this horrible situation. This fight is the fight for survival. Many working people have already lost their jobs in this financial crisis. Statistics show that millions of people will lose their jobs in the future. Terrible black days will come down in their lives.

Many people have already lost their jobs and returned from foreign countries due to fear of corona infection. That helpless picture of them is constantly floating on the screen of the news media. Many are stuck in different states unable to return. Somehow with a little help, they are getting food in their mouths, that too is uncertain.
