Earlier, Google had published doodles on several notable days, including Bangladesh Independence Day, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, renowned architect and civil engineer FR Khan, popular novelist Humayun Ahmed, and the birthday of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin.

To commemorate famous people and historical days, Google has created a custom day logo on its homepage called Doodle.

Google has written on their doodle page, today's doodle is remembering Bengali poet, musician, writer Kazi Nazrul Islam. Nazrul's voice was vocal in favor of the Indian independence movement. As he spoke in favor of tolerance and freedom, he had a strong voice in the fight against injustice, which earned him the title of Rebel Poet.

Poet Nazrul was born in 1899 in the present-day Bardhaman district. He had a penchant for poetry and literature since childhood. His rebellious poem was published in 1922, which took a strong stand against colonialism and global oppression. Today's doodle artwork is inspired by it.
