While Eid celebrations span across three days, the term Eid-ul-Fitr means “festival of breaking the fast”. This festival marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan. The festivities begin after the sighting of the crescent moon but if the moon is not spotted it continues onto the next day. Streets are decorated with beautiful lights while everyone wears new clothing. However, this time the celebrations stand canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Eid was introduced after the Prophet (peace be upon him) migrated from Mecca to Medina. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) arrived in Madinah and saw that the Jews living in Madinah were celebrating Nowruz on the full moon of autumn and Meherjan on the full moon of spring. They organize various festivals, ceremonies, and various joyous festivals in this festival. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade Muslims to observe these two festivals. He said, "Allah Almighty has given you two holy days like Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azhar in return for that festival." In it, you celebrate with holiness.
Muslims perform the first Eid-ul-Fitr prayers on March 30 or 31, 624 A.D., according to the second Hijri. At that time there was no shopping for new clothes like the current Eid. But the joy was not less.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to take a bath on the day of Eid, use perfume, wake up in the morning and wear good clothes. He used to eat some sweets on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Zakat is a provision of Allah as a right of the poor. Zakat is obligatory. If you do not pay Zakat or deny it, you will have to suffer terrible consequences in this world and in the Hereafter. And if zakat is given, man will not only attain purity and increase in his wealth, but it will also pave the way for his liberation in the hereafter. In addition, zakat plays an important role in the social life and economic development of the nation. Zakat sanctifies wealth. Zakat purifies the rich. Zakat alleviates poverty. Zakat increases production. When zakat is distributed among the poor, miserable, and needy people, their purchasing power increases. As a result, the demand for these people increases. Production and supply increase to meet demand. It also increases demand, production, and profits. As a result, the economy as a whole is moving. Increased economic activity.
On the morning of Eid-ul-Fitr, it is obligatory for Sahib Nisab to perform Fitra on behalf of himself and his family members. Whoever owns seven and a half loads of gold or 52 and a half loads of silver or equivalent assets, he is the master of Nisab.
1. Miswak is circumcised. 2. Bathing is circumcision. 3. Circumcision is the use of perfume. 4. It is Sunnat to go to Eidgah after eating something. It is better to eat an odd number of sweets; Dates are very good. 5. It is better to walk to the Eidgah. It is desirable to go one way and come another way. On the way to Eidgah, it is Sunnat to recite Takbeer (Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, La-Ilaha Illallahu Wallahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Wa Lillahil Hamd) in a low voice. It is desirable to wear the best clothes possible. It is Sunnat to pay fitra in charity before going to the Eidgah for prayers. 9. It is Mustahab to express happiness on the day of Eid and to speak with a smile when meeting someone. 10. It is desirable to exchange greetings.
Eid prayers are two Rak'ats and it is obligatory. There is no Azan-Ikamat in it. Eid prayers are also obligatory on those on whom Friday prayers are obligatory.
